What is PhysX?
PhysX is an equipment based exercise class that combines physiotherapy knowledge with traditional Pilates. It is a system developed to meet the specific needs of an individual. A gentle form of exercise, it focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing.
Is PhysX for me?
PhysX caters to people of all ages and abilities. Whether you are experiencing pain, difficulty with movement, wanting to prevent pain/injury in the future or looking to improve your strength and conditioning, then PhysX is for you!
Why PhysX?
PhysX has many health benefits. It helps to improve strength, neuromuscular control, and mobility in a safe, fun, and challenging environment. It is tailored to the individual and can be used as a rehab tool or, comparatively, as a high level strength and conditioning tool. Individualised programs allows for specific exercise prescription and means that everyone is catered for, at every level.
The process
1:1 session
You participate in 2-3 1:1 sessions with a physio for assessment and to practice your individualised program. During this time your will be taught your exercises, how to use the machines and machine safety.
Joining a class
Once the 1:1 sessions are complete you will be able to join our small classes of up to 5 participants, at a time/day that works for you. The classes go for 45 minutes and are run and supervised by a physio who will be able to demonstrate exercises, correct technique, add to programs and increase/decrease the difficulty as needed. Each participant will work through their own individual program at their own pace in a fun, supportive environment!
